Native Whitetail
Odocoileus virginianus
A Texas hunting tradition.
White-tailed deer are native Texas wildlife, named for the pale underside of the tail they raise when alarmed. Their food includes broad-leaved herbaceous plants and browse from woody plants. Habitat quality, food, cover, and water all shape the places deer use.

Feeding habits

The $750 base hunt fee per person covers three days of ranch access and hunting for hogs, coyotes, and foxes, which have no trophy fees. For species with a trophy fee, the applicable fee is added when you shoot at the animal—whether you miss, wound, or harvest it. We confirm the applicable fee before the hunt.
